Can this product be heated or added to hot foods?
No, do not heat, bake, or add this product to food or beverages above 130°F.
How should I prepare this medical food?
- Add 1 pouch (12.5 g of powder) to 6-8 fl oz (180-240 mL) of water, flavored (protein-free) beverage, food low in protein, or other TYR formula. Dilution can be adjusted to taste.
- Cover with a tight-fitting lid for drinks and shake until fully blended. Stir gently for foods low in protein until fully blended.
- Consume immediately or store in a refrigerator for up to 24 hours. Shake or stir the prepared formula before use.
How should I store the pouches?
- Store unopened pouches in a cool, dry place away from sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Once a pouch is opened, use the entire contents immediately.
