About Vivonex Pediatric Elemental Powder Amino Acid Formula
Vivonex Pediatric is a hypoallergenic, amino acid-based, and nutritionally complete powder specifically formulated for children ages 1 to 13 years. This elemental formula is designed for the nutritional management of patients with severely impaired gastrointestinal (GI) function, including conditions such as severe short bowel syndrome, malabsorption syndrome, Crohn’s disease, and intestinal failure. It is also intended for patients transitioning from parenteral nutrition, those with burn injuries, or patients with chylous ascites and chylothorax.

Our formula is designed for children ages 1 to 13 years. At a standard dilution of 1250 mL, it meets or exceeds 100% of the DRIs for protein and 25 key vitamins and minerals for ages 1–8 years.
How should I prepare and store the formula?
After mixing, the formula should be fed immediately or refrigerated and used within 24 hours. If used for tube feeding, it may be hung at room temperature for up to 4 hours. Once a can is opened, it should be covered tightly and used within one month.
Can this be used for tube feeding?
Yes, Vivonex Pediatric can be used for either oral or tube feeding under medical supervision. However, it is not for parenteral (IV) use.
