ProSource ZAC Liquid Protein works to meet increased protein needs during periods of metabolic stress or inadequate intake to allow for maintenance or restoration of body protein stores. It should be consumed by gastric bypass/bariatric patients, burn patients, those under fluid-restricted diets, and those undergoing diabetic oncology, diabetic leg wounds, pressure injuries, protein malnutrition, wound healing, HIV/AIDS, clear liquid diets, trauma or surgery.
What's the appropriate dose and administration?
- Oral Dosing: Take 30 mL (1 fl oz). Can also be mixed with hot or cold liquids or foods.
- Tube Feeding: Dilute 1 serving with 30 mL of water. Administer slowly via syringe. Flush with 30 mL of water before and after administration. Do not mix with tube feeding formula.
Appropriate for NG-tube, G-tube and J-tube.
