The drive® Silver Sport 2 Wheelchair is a durable, lightweight manual wheelchair designed for adults who require mobility assistance. Built on a carbon steel frame with an attractive powder-coated silver vein finish, the Silver Sport 2 is easy to maintain and built for reliable everyday use. The embossed nylon upholstery is durable, lightweight, attractive, and easy to clean, and the urethane tires are mounted on composite wheels for durability and a smooth ride over most surfaces. The dual axle design allows easy transition to a hemi-level seat height, enabling users to independently propel the wheelchair using their feet. Padded desk-length armrests detach to accommodate use at desks and tables and allow easier lateral transfers. Swing-away footrests come standard with plastic foot plates and adjustable riggings. Push-to-lock wheel brakes and 8-inch front casters adjustable in three positions provide added safety and stability. A carry pocket on the backrest provides an easy and safe way to transport personal items. FSA eligible. Not made with natural rubber latex. Available in 16, 18, and 20 inch seat widths.

The hemi-level dual axle feature makes it particularly beneficial for users who prefer or require foot propulsion. Select the seat width based on the user's hip width — the seat should be approximately 1 to 2 inches wider than the widest point of the hips. Assembly is required before first use.

How Do You Use or Apply This Product?

1. Remove the wheelchair from its packaging.
2. Attach the swing-away footrests if not already attached.
3. Adjust the footrests to the user's preferred length.
4. Ensure the detachable desk arms are properly secured.
5. Check the push-to-lock brakes for proper functionality.
6. Ensure the urethane tires are securely mounted on the composite wheels.
7. Adjust the wheelchair's three caster positions to the user's comfort.
8. When ready to use, have the user sit on the wheelchair ensuring a proper and safe seating position.
9. The care assistant or user can then push the wheelchair to the desired destination.
10. To lock the brakes, apply pressure to the push-to-lock brakes on the rear wheels.
