About Acapella Vibratory PEP Therapy System with Mouthpiece

Key Benefits & Features

Acapella combines the benefits of both PEP therapy and airway vibrations to mobilize pulmonary secretions and can be used in virtually any spatial orientation. Patients are free to sit, stand or recline.

It improves clearance of secretions, is easier to tolerate than CPT, takes less than half the time of conventional CPT sessions* and facilitates opening of airways in patients with lung diseases with secretory problems (COPD, asthma, Cystic Fibrosis). Color-coded units (green for high-flow, blue for low) help customize treatment based on clinical needs. You can adjust acapella's frequency and flow resistance simply by turning an adjustment dial.

  • Green model is high-flow, working more than 15 liters per minute for three seconds
  • Allow for longer expiratory airflow, which assists with removing lung secretions, thanks to the one-way inspiratory valve and force-enhancing vibrations; this arrangement gives patients more control over their breathing and allows them to perform breaths to expel fluid.
  • Enhance aerosolized medication delivery, distributing particles over a larger area and into peripheral airways.
  • Can accommodate virtually any patient’s lung capacity.
  • Can be used with a mask or mouthpiece attachment or with an inline nebulizer fitted with a tee adapter.
  • Are sized for adults and children ages five and up.
  • Let patients perform their PEP therapy in multiple positions, including standing, sitting, and lying down, thanks to the magnetic rocking resistor.
  • Are easy to clean, including on the top rack of a dishwasher, boiling, or by autoclave.
  • Include an expiratory resistance dial.
