Do your products require refrigeration?
Our Tasty Bite products are shelf stable. As long as the pouches have not been opened, they do not need to be refrigerated, nor frozen. The pouches are called retort pouches and the preservation process is similar to canning. Therefore you may store the pouches in a cupboard, or pantry, or any other room temperature storage place.
Can I eat your products after the Best By date on the package?
The Best By date noted on our pouches is the recommended industry standard of 18 months from our manufacture date. This is the date to which we guarantee freshness. However studies have shown that our products are still safe to consume 6 months after the Best By date. We do not guarantee the product after the date on the pouch. Of course we ask that you use your discretion when making your decision, as we cannot see the actual product.
Can I heat your products outdoors?
Tasty Bite is a great companion for many of our outdoor enthusiast consumers. It's great for on the go, inside and out. The products we offer are cooked within the pouch at the factory level and only need to be heated up to enjoy. Therefore you may place the pouches in boiling water to heat up the contents.
