About ROHO Low Profile Single Valve Cushion

The ROHO Low Profile Single Valve Cushion is a specialized pressure redistribution seating cushion used to prevent and manage pressure injuries (pressure ulcers) in individuals who spend extended time seated in a wheelchair. The cushion features ROHO's patented dry flotation technology — a matrix of independent, interconnected air-filled cells made from neoprene rubber that deform and conform around bony prominences, distributing body weight evenly across the entire seating surface to reduce peak pressure at vulnerable points such as the ischial tuberosities. The single valve allows the entire cushion to be adjusted with a single inflation or deflation action, making it easy for caregivers and users to achieve the optimal air level for proper immersion and envelopment. The Low Profile designation indicates a 2-inch cell height, which is lower than the standard profile, making it appropriate for users with limited seat-to-floor height clearance or transfer challenges. The 18 x 16 inch size suits most standard wheelchair seat widths. Covers are sold separately.

Key Benefits & Features:

  • Dry flotation air cell technology redistributes pressure to reduce peak loading on bony prominences
  • Single valve provides easy, one-point inflation adjustment for individualized fitting
  • Low 2-inch profile accommodates users with limited transfer height or seat clearance
  • Interconnected neoprene air cells conform dynamically to body contours during seating
  • Suitable for wheelchair-dependent individuals at risk for or managing pressure injuries
  • 18 x 16 inch size designed for standard wheelchair seat dimensions
