Nutricia MMA/PA Anamix® Early Years is a methionine-, threonine-, and valine-free, isoleucine-low powdered infant formula with iron specifically designed for the dietary management of vitamin B12 non-responsive methylmalonic acidemia (MMA) and propionic acidemia (PA) in infants from birth to 12 months, and as a supplementary feed up to 3 years of age. Both MMA and PA are rare inherited organic acid disorders in which the body is unable to properly metabolize certain amino acids — specifically methionine, threonine, valine, and isoleucine — leading to a buildup of toxic organic acids that can cause metabolic crises, neurological damage, and serious developmental complications if left untreated. MMA/PA Anamix Early Years provides a carefully balanced blend of all other essential and non-essential amino acids, along with carbohydrates, fat, vitamins, minerals, and trace elements, to meet the complete nutritional needs of affected infants while restricting the amino acids they cannot tolerate. Who Should Be Using This?

MMA/PA Anamix® Early Years is intended for infants from birth to 12 months with a confirmed diagnosis of vitamin B12 non-responsive methylmalonic acidemia (MMA) or propionic acidemia (PA), and as a supplementary feed up to 3 years of age. It must only be used under medical supervision and as directed by a healthcare professional or metabolic dietitian. It is not suitable as a sole source of nutrition and is not appropriate for infants without a confirmed diagnosis.

How Do You Use or Apply This Product?

1. Wash hands thoroughly and clean the preparation area before preparing formula.
2. To make a standard dilution (21 kcal per fluid ounce), add 1 unpacked level scoop (5g) of powder to each fluid ounce of cooled, boiled water. Use only the scoop provided. For accuracy, formula should be weighed on a gram scale.
3. Pour the required amount of cooled, boiled water into a sterilized feeding bottle, then add the prescribed number of leveled scoops of formula. Place the cap on the bottle and shake until the powder dissolves. Shake immediately before use.
4. MMA/PA Anamix Early Years may also be mixed with breast milk as directed by your healthcare team. Do not boil formula or use a microwave to prepare or warm formula.
5. Freshly prepared formula is best. Formula prepared in advance must be cooled rapidly, stored in the refrigerator, and used within 24 hours. Discard any formula remaining in the bottle after 1 hour of feeding.
6. Store unopened cans in a cool, dry place. Avoid extreme temperatures. Once opened, use contents within 2 weeks and replace the lid firmly after each use.
