About Nurse Assist USP Normal Sterile Saline Solution

USP Normal Sterile Saline Solution is a 0.9% sodium chloride solution manufactured to United States Pharmacopeia (USP) pharmaceutical standards for sterility, purity, and isotonicity. Normal saline (0.9% NaCl) is the most widely used wound irrigation solution in both clinical and home care settings due to its isotonic composition — it is neither hypotonic nor hypertonic relative to body fluids — making it safe and non-damaging for use on open wound tissue, including granulating and epithelializing wounds. It is used for wound bed preparation and cleansing, catheter irrigation, nasal lavage, eye irrigation, and general-purpose clinical irrigation. The solution is supplied in single-use pour bottles of 100 mL and 250 mL, sold in cases of 48 and 24 respectively, providing a practical and economical bulk supply for wound care programs, outpatient clinics, home health agencies, and skilled nursing facilities. Single-use packaging maintains sterility and eliminates the risk of cross-contamination between patients.
