Monaghan AeroChamber Plus Z Stat Anti-static Holding Chamber is a clinically tested and hospital-trusted respiratory therapy treatment option designed to work with Metered Dose Inhalers for easier inhalation and consistent medication delivery. This AeroChamber Plus® Z, also known as a “spacer’, features a proprietary valve designed to respond to individuals with breathing patterns that are low volume or shallow, making inhalation of the aerosol medicine from a metered-dose inhaler easier by increasing the suspension time of aerosol delivery. This gives more time for the medication to work and allows for quicker medication delivery to the lungs. The anti-static polymer finish on the chamber helps minimize the build-up of static electricity in plastic materials and prevents the medication from sticking to the sides of the chamber. This reduces medication loss and therefore promotes drug dispersal evenly for correct dosage intake and consistent medication delivery. Plus, the AeroChamber features a built-in FLOWSIGnal® Whistle which alerts the user when the breathing is too fast. When that happens, just slow the breath down and try again. For those with shallow breathing patterns, the low resistant valve increases aerosol suspension time for easier inhalation and consistent medicine dosage delivery. Regarding exhalation, this AeroChamber has an EZ FLOW Exhalation Valve which helps to minimize re-breathing and to direct exhaled flow away from the user’s face. Altogether, these designs help reduce user errors in medication dosage. When used correctly, AeroChampbers works as well as a nebulizer treatment. Recommended by leading MDI manufacturers, the universal backpiece is compatible with most Metered Dose Inhalers, (MDIs). Easy to clean by hand or on the top rack of the dishwasher, these spacers are re-usable for up to 12 months, which makes a great cost-effective feature.
