CCPA & PRIVACY

Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

Under California’s California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”), California residents have the right to opt out of certain future “sales” or “sharing” of personal information, as those terms are defined under California law.

The CCPA defines “sell,” “share,” and “personal information” broadly, and certain disclosures described in our Privacy Policy may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” under those definitions. In particular, we may permit advertising and analytics providers to collect certain identifiers (such as IP addresses, cookie IDs, mobile IDs, and similar identifiers), activity data (such as browsing activity, clicks, and app usage), device information, and general geolocation information through our websites, apps, and online services for advertising, analytics, and related business purposes.

Carewell does not knowingly sell or share protected health information governed by HIPAA or healthcare-related information collected in connection with Carewell Family Services in ways prohibited by applicable law. Certain healthcare-related services provided through Carewell Family Services may be governed by separate healthcare privacy notices, including the Carewell Family Services Notice of Privacy Practices, and separate healthcare privacy and security requirements.

If you do not wish for us or our partners to “sell” or “share” personal information relating to your visits to our websites or online services for advertising purposes, you may use a recognized Global Privacy Control (“GPC”), email us at ccpa@carewell.com, or use other controls described in the “Your Choices” section of our Privacy Policy.

If you opt out using these choices, we will not disclose or make available personal information in ways that are considered a “sale” or “sharing” under the CCPA. However, we may continue to disclose limited information to service providers and contractors acting on our behalf to support operational, analytics, fraud prevention, security, and permitted advertising-related activities consistent with applicable law.

Please note that opting out will not:

  • stop the use of previously collected information,
  • eliminate all non-personalized advertising,
  • or prevent disclosures necessary to operate our services, complete transactions, detect fraud, comply with law, or fulfill other permitted business purposes.

For more information about our data practices, please review our Privacy Policy. To contact us regarding CCPA requests or questions, email ccpa@carewell.com or follow the instructions in the “Contact Us” section of our Privacy Policy.
