This dressing is impregnated with a white petrolatum solution that keeps a layer of protection atop of the wound to help lock in moisture. Moisture is great for wounds to help them recover as the compounds found in self-provided moisture kill bacteria and seal in moisture to repair the wound and give it a great healthy recovery with minimal scarring. The large size of the 3 x 16 inch dressing is ideal for use as a primary dressing but can also be used as a secondary dressing to continue the optimal healing process. The dressing also carries the absorbent capacity to help retain drainage from fresh wounds.
