About Bedding

Getting a good night's sleep is key to staying mentally and physically healthy. That’s why we offer everything you need to make sure you and your loved ones get the rest you deserve. Soft, comfortable pillows and mattress toppers are ideal not just for overall comfort, but also for the prevention of bed sores and pressure ulcers. Enhance your comfort by supporting your body at night, and enjoy a better night’s rest.

My loved one is immobile and I’m not sure what they need

Taking care of someone who struggles with mobility can be confusing at first, but at Carewell, we offer all the products and information you need to support the ones you love. When your loved one spends a lot of time in mind, it’s important that their place of rest is as comfortable as possible. Egg crate mattress toppers and soft pillows help ensure your loved one is comfortable and supported, and the right bedding can prevent problems that arise from immobility.

Remember: you should shift your loved one’s position every two hours or so to avoid bed sores.

I want to prevent bed sores, but I struggle to reposition my loved one

Even with the right bedding, it’s still important to reposition your loved ones every two hours or so if they aren’t mobile themselves. This can pose a problem for a lot of caregivers, particularly if your loved one is larger than you are. We recommend resting your loved one on an underpad, or chux. That way, you can use the underpad itself to reposition your loved one. Most of our underpads can accommodate loved ones of up to 300 pounds, so you don’t have to worry about the underpad ripping.

Do you have any bedding that can protect against incontinence?

Underpads aren’t just for repositioning your loved ones. They’re waterproof barriers against incontinence to protect both your furniture, and your loved one’s skin. Need extra mattress protection? Try our mattress protectors. Keep in mind that staying dry is key to protecting against pressure ulcers, so stock up on whatever incontinence products you may need to keep your loved one healthy and dry.

Not sure which incontinence products you need? If your loved one is immobile, you’ll likely need a diaper with tabs (they’re the easiest to put on other people), but browse our entire incontinence supply catalog or give us a call if you need more guidance.
